Deer Fence Pricing

Establish all ends and corners. Reinforce ends and corners with a brace. Standard H bracing, as on farm fences, or bracing angled at 45 degrees will make for a stronger fence. Posts can be driven or set in cement. Set ends and corners approximately 36" deep.
Establish gate openings and set posts at desired width for a walk-through or drive-through gate.
Set line posts next, 12 to 15 feet apart, maximum spacing. Where trees are available, utilize them as posts.
Stretch tension wire on top and bottom. This keeps the fence from sagging at the top, and properly tied and staked at the bottom. This will also keep the deer from getting underneath the fence.
Roll deer fence out. Stretch and secure to posts and trees. Use galvanized U nails/staples for wood posts and trees. Use hog rings for attaching to tension wire and splicing fence together.
Secure bottom by installing ground stakes every 5 feet.
Install gates.
Install warning banner every 10 feet, approximately 4 feet off the ground. This makes the fence more visible to deer, until they have adjusted to the fence. At that time they can be removed.
